Privacy Notice

David Barnier, trading as Endeavour Speech Pathology is the data controller for personal information collected through Logbook. This notice explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and your rights.

What we collect

  • Account data — name or display name, email address, login credentials.
  • Logbook data you enter — trips, odometer readings and photos, locations, purposes, vehicle details.
  • Expense data — receipts and PDFs, amounts, suppliers, charging records.
  • Calendar data — if you connect Google Calendar, event titles, times and locations you choose to use.
  • Technical data — IP address, device and browser information, usage and error logs.

Why we use it

  • Create and secure your account (performance of our contract with you).
  • Provide the app’s features and store your records (contract).
  • Security, fraud prevention and service reliability (legitimate interests).
  • Customer support and service notices (contract / legitimate interests).
  • Product improvement using aggregated or de-identified data (legitimate interests).
  • Optional integrations such as Google Calendar and AI text extraction from photos (consent — you choose to connect or upload).

Who we share it with

  • Hosting, database and storage providers who run the app on our behalf.
  • Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of subscriptions, payments, invoicing and tax compliance.
  • AI processing providers used to read odometer and receipt images you upload.
  • Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where necessary.
  • Authorities where required by law.

We do not sell your personal information.

Retention

We keep your records while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards so you can meet ATO record-keeping obligations. After that, data is deleted or de-identified. You can request deletion at any time.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act you may request access to, and correction of, the personal information we hold, and you may ask us to delete it. You can also complain to us or to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au). We aim to respond within 30 days.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access controls so that each account can only read its own trips, receipts and files. Uploaded photos and receipts are held in private storage.

Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to run checkout. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear cookies in your browser, though this will sign you out.
